Sweet Braydyn's mom, Britni, called the studio after seeing my birth images on the wall at the clinic. She said she wanted to hire me to document Braydyn's birth, and here is the kicker... She was being induced in two days! Of course I was SO excited to get to the hospital that Friday and meet this sweet mom-to-be and her mother Blythe. We spent most of the day getting to know one another and there was an instant connection with both Britni and her mom. When I arrived at the hosptial Britni was in pretty hard labor.

Things started to ease up a bit later thankfully and Britni was feeling better. Britni and her mom were so anxious to meet sweet Braydyn. He was going to be the first grandchild for her mother, and they were already completely in love with this little guy. Britni told me about her ultrasound when she was supposed to find out the sex of Baby Braydyn. I couldn't help but laugh at her story. As a mom, we sometimes just know what our baby is without anyone having to tell us. And Britni just knew Braydyn was going to be a boy.

" I went in for my ultrasound and the technician told me that it was a GIRL. I told them to keep looking! Sure enough after a little while longer they told me that I was right, and this baby was a BOY!"

After being in labor for quite a while it was determined that Braydyn would need to arrive by C-section. They wheeled Britni back to the O.R and Blythe and I got ready to head back.

Finally, the moment had arrived and Braydyn was here!

The moment Britni heard her child cry for the first time was priceless.  Looking at this image still tears me up at the raw emotion on her face.

Braydyn weighed 7lbs and 3oz. He was 20 1/2 inches long. He made his arrival at 10:40 P.M

I followed Braydyn into the nursery for his measurements and very first bath. His nurse gave him a cool first hair do :)

Britni and Blythe-- Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of Braydyn's Birth. I am so glad you stumbled across me in the clinic and I am honored you asked me to document the birth of this precious baby.
